POLK/TYLER COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A hunter's paradise turned out to be a gold mine for a group of burglars.
The 17,000 acre Camden Hunting Club spans Polk and Tyler counties. A club employee says seven camps were raided.
Burglars took about $80,000 in hunting gear, along with ATVs, a pick-up truck, generators and chainsaws.
"It makes you sick at your stomach," said Don Franklin, a member. "It was a terrible feeling...Somebody knew this area. It had to be, possibly somebody we know. I hate to think that, but it's possible."
Not all of the stolen items were covered by insurance.
If you have any information about the crime, you are asked to call officers in either Polk or Tyler County.
