Couple robbed in parking lot, Tyler Police searching for suspects

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Released by the Tyler Police Department:

TYLER, TX - Tyler police responded to an Aggravated Robbery at Deerwood Apartments, located 2801 Calloway Road, around 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

Investigators learned that a male resident was walking a female out to her car when they observed a maroon Crown Victoria with large shiny wheels drive by slowly in the gated apartment complex parking lot. The couple was approached by three young black male suspects who exited the Crown Victoria. The suspects were wearing solid dark green and white bandanas over their face to hide their identity and all three were armed with handguns. The suspects demanded cash from the victims, but they replied they had none. The suspects then rummaged through the female's vehicle looking for valuables.

During the course of the robbery both victims were physically assaulted and forced into the back seat of the female's vehicle. The suspects then fled and were last observed traveling west on Calloway Road in the Crown Victoria.

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
