UPDATE: Tyler police locate kidnapping victim and suspect

UPDATE 6:32 p.m. - The suspect and the victim involved in this case have been located at an address in rural Smith County.  The investigation into the matter continues at this time.

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Tyler Police Department is working a kidnapping where the victim was taken at gunpoint. The victim is Shalonda Demetrie Jones, a black female 29 years old.

Jones is approximately 5'04" tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. The suspect is a black male, Elasko Thomas, 36 years old. Thomas is 5'07" tall and weighs approximately 217 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The suspect is possibly driving a 1992 white Toyota Camry, Texas plate T03LGV.   The car has tinted windows, a temporary tag on the right corner of the vehicle, a broken handle on the drivers door, and a coat hanger is used as the antenna. The gas cap is missing and there is a blue sticker on the trunk.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crime Stoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
