Men in Halloween masks invade Marshall home, police investigate

MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) -

Released by the Marshall Police Department:

MARSHALL, TX - On Saturday June 5, 2010 at approximately 04:00 am; the Marshall Police Department received a call in reference to a Burglary/Home Invasion. MPD Officers and Detectives responded to the scene in the 200 block of Scottsville Road in Marshall.

Victims involved in the incident described three black males, all wearing what appeared to be a Halloween type masks, dark long sleeve shirts or "hoodies" and had dark gloves. The victims were bound and ordered to the floor. The actors then proceeded throughout residence and several items were taken in the invasion. This invasion is similar to the home invasion that occurred on James Farmer Road on 04/28/2010. MPD has also received information that two other invasions had occurred in our city yet no complaint has been filed through our department.

The Marshall Police Department is asking its citizens to be diligent in securing their homes and to contact our agency should they see suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. We advise everyone not to confront individuals, but record license plate numbers and document the make, model and color of vehicle(s). If your home is monitored by an alarm company, it is recommended that the homeowner establish a word or number code that would indicate to the alarm company that police presence is needed.
