GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) - One of the best outdoor rodeos in East Texas has begun. Along with the championship rodeo events, there are the specialty acts that keep coming back to the Gladewater Round-Up Rodeo. Keith Isley pulled a three-award sweep in 2009 as a PRCA Specialty Act Entertainer.

Keith tells us "I actually have three horses that I work, two full size Palomino horses, and a 30 inch high, miniature, that thinks he's 10 feet tall!"

Keith travels throughout the year to rodeos all over the country. A rodeo clown and specialty act that entertains throughout the entire rodeo.

"I really enjoy playing off the people; they are the reason that I am here. They bought a ticket to be entertained, and I try to do my best to entertain them," Keith says.

The highlight of Keith's long career happened in 1999, he says.

"When they called my name out as 'PRCA Entertainer of the Year', that was the proudest moment of my career."

The long rodeo season on the road away from his North Carolina home is the toughest part of his job, Keith admits.

"Someone once said that if you ever find a job that you enjoy, you'll never work a day in your life…so as far as I know, I've never worked a day of my life."

The Round-Up runs every night from 8:15 to 11-pm and runs through Saturday. 8:15 to 11-pm each night.
