Business holds benefit for East Texas Angel Network

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Released by Lauren Albright with Dickey's Barbecue:

LONGVIEW, TX - Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Longview is teaming up with Neal McCoy's East Texas Angel Network this Friday during their "Customer Appreciation Day" as they pledge to donate a portion of the event's proceeds to the charity.

The location's Owner/Operator, Rick Howell, said this is his way to not only say "thank you" to East Texas for welcoming Dickey's with open arms, but to "give back."

"The Angel Network is such a wonderful organization that has helped so many children. I have been blessed with beautiful and healthy kids of my own, but unfortunately not everyone has been so lucky. That is what groups like the Network are so important. This fundraiser is my way of doing what I can for the Angel Network and Longview and with Dickey's I am able to do more," Howell said.

Dickey's will host their event 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday, June 11th.

Dollar big barbecue sandwiches will be served throughout the event and patrons can enter for a chance to win a catering for 10 people.
