HEMPHILL, TX (KLTV) - The father of a murdered Sabine County toddler now believes his wife may have killed his daughter.
Dwight Stevenson's wife is wanted for capital murder in his 22-month-old daughter's death.
When we first spoke to Stevenson Wednesday morning, he believed his wife, Dequahna Taylor, was innocent and would never hurt his daughter. But, after authorities showed him a picture of Detyreunna Price's injuries, he now has some doubt.
"Things have changed," said Stevenson. "My mind has changed. I didn't want to look at any other pictures. It's taking me back all the way to when the day it happened."
Investigators say Taylor bit the toddler, whipped her with a belt - leaving bruises - and burned the child with what appeared to be a clothes iron.
If you know Taylor's whereabouts, please contact police.
