TYLER, TX (KLTV) - There is a place you can send your kids this summer where they can get out of the house, get out of the heat, and maybe learn something in the process.

The Discovery Science Place in Tyler began their summer camp program Monday, with programs offered for kids age four through 12.

While they are there, they can everything from physics, to air flow, to dinosaurs.

"I just like studying about fossils and how dinosaurs were destroyed, and just all kind of science - not just one particular thing but all kinds of science," said Christopher Taylor, a fourth grader.

"If parents can find some way to keep their kids reading and do some basic math, they'll do better," said Michael Shanklin, the Discovery Science Place Executive Director. "When they get back into school, they don't have to make up all that lost ground."
