UPDATE: EZ Mart robbery suspect arrested

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Released by the Longview Police Department:

UPDATE 04:15 PM 06/04/10 - Longview Police Detectives have made an arrest in the June 3rd robbery of the EZ Mart convenience store at 1501 Pine Tree Road.

Joshua Todd Murray, 20, of Longview, was arrested early Thursday afternoon pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by Judge David Brabham of the 188th District Court.

As of this time, Murray has not been charged with the second EZ Mart robbery at the same location that occurred on June 4th, but additional charges are likely.

Murray's birthday is in five days, June 9th.

The same suspect that robbed an EZ Mart convenience store on June 3rd robbed the same store the very next night.

On June 4, 2010 at around 2:22 a.m., Longview Officers were dispatched to the EZ Mart at 1501 Pine Tree Road for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.  Officers arrived and were told by the store clerk that the same suspect that robbed the store on June 3rd had just returned and robbed the store again.  The clerk stated the suspect was armed with a short barreled shotgun and demanded money from the register.  As the suspect left with the money, he took lottery tickets and cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes with a red bandana around his face.
