WAR CORRESPONDENT SAYS IT WAS A FAITH-BUILDING EXPERIENCE

Correspondent Ross Simpson, who covered the war in Iraq with troops on the front lines, says it was a faith-building experience. Simpson says he prayed for safety in the heat of battle -- not just for himself, but for the Marines who were less then half his age. And he thanks God for bringing almost all of them back alive. Simpson says dozens of Marines were baptized during the three-week campaign -- one of them inside Saddam Hussein's palace in Baghdad on the night before Palm Sunday, prompting Chaplain Carey Cash to remark: "God works in wondrous ways."
