Vehicle burglar arrested again says Longview Police

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Released by the Longview Police Department:

LONGVIEW, TX - On May 29, 2010 at around 4:07 p.m., Longview Officers were dispatched to a vehicle burglary in progress at Tractor Supply Company at 1011 Wal Street. The victim told responding officers that he exited the store to find someone inside of his vehicle. When the suspect saw the victim, he fled in a waiting Ford Explorer.

Officers at the scene gave a description of the vehicle and the suspect over the radio and Officer Cody Hargrove located the Ford Explorer at East Marshall Avenue and Alpine Road. The driver of the Explorer told officers he had just picked up the vehicle from a family member and officers then went to 1708 Alpine Road and located the burglary suspect, Christopher Paul Brown.

Brown was positively identified by witnesses as the suspect who committed the burglary at Tractor Supply Company and officers found that he was also in possession of narcotics paraphernalia and several electronic items believed to be stolen.

Brown was arrested and found to have two or more prior convictions for burglary of a vehicle. Brown was booked into the Gregg County Jail.
