Suspect Found Not Guilty in Murder-Sexual Assault Case

A Henderson man long suspected in a mysterious murder a year and a half ago, has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting a Leverts Chapel girl.

20 year old Curtis Howard was found not guilty by a jury Friday.

Howard was the chief suspect in 15 year old Jessica Sadler's murder but was only charged with sexual assault.  Sadler went missing in October of 2001, her body was found in a trash pile near the families' home 3 days later.

Jurors cited insufficient evidence for sexual assault. No one was ever charged with Jessica's murder.
