Tyler Pipe Owner, Workers' Union Plan Safety Task Force

A task force has been developed between the parent company of Tyler Pipe, and the steelworkers union. The goal, to improve safety.

The McWane Corporation owns Tyler Pipe, where several workers have died and many others injured over the past few years. And just two weeks ago, the federal government fined Tyler Pipe nearly $200,000 for safety violations.

This new task force is made up of representatives of the top levels of the union and McWane. No word on when the task force will meet.
