TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Britney is a girl who loves animals and the outdoors. Now, all she needs is a family to share it with. The eighth grader is shy when you first meet her. However, once the 14-year-old warms up, she is very talkative and easy going.
Her greatest love in life is horses. She even hopes to make it her lifelong career.
"I like animals a lot," said Britney. "[I would like to do] something with animal rescue."
Britney makes good grades and says she likes school. She enjoys participating in choir at school, but P.E. not so much. When it comes to her favorite color, Britney is a girly girl who likes "pink/purple, pink and purple."
When talking about her three wishes, she has two in mind.
"[I want to] have my own horse [and] go to the zoo," she said.
As for her third wish, she is still thinking about that one.
Britney loves taking care of and playing with younger children and often assists her foster mother with activities for them.
As you can imagine, with her love for the animals she would love to find a forever family with some wide-open spaces.
"I would like a family with a lot of animals but mainly I would like a family with horses so I can have my own horse," she said.
Britney has been in foster care since 2007 and due to the type of abuse and neglect involved, she is learning to trust the people close to her. She would do well with a family who is able to demonstrate to her love and appropriate boundaries. But, most importantly, show her the gift of love.
