The young bald eagle that was shot a few weeks ago is now in San Antonio recooperating in a nice big flight cage.
You'll remember, x-rays revealed the protected bald eagle was shot with a small caliber gun and was unable to fly. He's been under a wildlife rehabilitator's care in Lindale.
Now the vet tells us he is out of danger but his muscles need to build back up so he can fly again. That's why he was transported to San Antonio Saturday, where a rehabilitator there has a large flight cage to take care of him.
Again, anyone with info about this shooting should contact the Cherokee County game warden.
