LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - LONGIEW, TX (KLTV) - It is being billed as the largest ever rummage sale in the city of Longview. Volunteers with Mobberly Baptist Church are organizing a veritable warehouse full of items to be sold at their rummage sale this weekend at the Longview Fairgrounds Expo Center.
The 18,000 square foot facility is already jammed with donated items from toys and clothing to Christmas decorations - all at bargain rates.
The two-day event will be to raise money for the church's Benevolence Ministry Fund to help folks in the community.
"The proceeds of the sale will go towards helping people in the community that need help with bills with food clothing that kind of thing," said Greg Scobee, the Rummage Sale Organizer. "We have people every day that come to the church that need help."
The sale starts Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., picks up again Saturday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., and admission is only $1.
