Decent Food Stop robbed, police searching for suspect

Released by the Longview Police Department:

LONGVIEW, TX - On April 23, 2010 at around 9:30 p.m., Longview Officers were dispatched to the Decent Food Stop at 800 Pine Tree Road for a silent alarm.

Officers arrived and were told by store employees that the store had just been robbed.  Employees stated that a man entered the store, approached the clerk and produced a sharp object.  The suspect threatened the clerk with the object and told her to give him the money from the cash register.

After receiving the money from the register, the suspect ran from the store in an unknown direction.  The suspect is described as: a white male, in his mid-20's, approximately 5'10" tall and 180 pounds, wearing jeans, a black t-shirt and a bandana over his face.  Officers blanketed the area immediately after the robbery, but were not able to locate the suspect.
