TYLER, TX (KLTV) - TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Some East Texas students went overseas without even having to leave campus! Tyler Junior College held their 20th annual International Day Tuesday.
50 countries from around the world are represented, and students get to learn about the unique cultures.
The event's organizer says this is a unique experience for American students.
"It is very important for our students to be globally educated, and I try to take the leadership and prepare them for a challenging world," explained Dr. Manoucher Khosrowhahi, a professor of government
They had a busy day. Tuesday morning, kids from other Tyler schools were able to tour and learn about all the cultures too.
