TYLER, TX (KLTV) - 11-year-old Jonathan is a young boy, full of life and energy who wants nothing more than to find a family to share his life with. Like most boys his age Jonathan loves sports and the latest video game.

"I like to play basketball and play video games," he said.

Jonathan says he would like to continue in his basketball skills and one day be a professional player and, if that does not work out, he also thinks it would be pretty cool to be a fireman.

For now, Jonathan is enjoying the sixth grade, where he is on the "A" honor roll. He is also excelling in his favorite subjects: math and reading. Jonathan is also musically talented and plays the trombone. His goal is to be in one of the top five chairs.

As for his favorite food he says he loves a good burger with some french fries, but only with the right amount of salt. He also likes spaghetti and cereal.

Jonathan says he would like to travel and the big apple is at the top of his list. "I'd like to see the Empire State Building," he said. "I like big buildings and skyscrapers."

Jonathan has been in foster care for more than two years and has had several placements. Throughout everything, he has managed to maintain a sense of humor and is quick to smile, showing a very charming personality.

When it comes to his three wishes, food and sports topped the list.

"[I want to] get hamburgers for free all the time [and] be in the NBA when I grow up," said Jonathan.

His third wish is to find a forever family, one that can show him the gift of love.
