Woman wanted for murder in Texas, Bossier City Police make arrest

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KLTV) - Released by the  Bossier City Police Department:

BOSSIER CITY, TX - Bossier City police arrested a woman this morning who is wanted for capital murder out of Dallas, Texas. Officers made contact with Chatone Denise Taylor, 26, of Dallas, Texas while conducting an investigation into a possible vehicle burglary at a Bossier City apartment complex.

During the course of their investigation, officers made contact with Taylor at the Exxon gas station on Diamond Jacks Boulevard at I-20 after developing her as a possible suspect. She had been staying in Bossier City at a hotel. She initially gave officers a false name but police later confirmed her identity after they located her driver's license in her vehicle.

Upon running Taylor's information through police dispatch, officers found that she is wanted on a criminal arrest warrant out of Dallas for capital murder. She is also wanted for a probation violation stemming from an armed robbery arrest in Dallas.

Taylor was taken into custody and booked into the Bossier City Jail as a fugitive. She will be transferred later to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility where she will await extradition proceedings.
