TYLER, TX (KLTV) - TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Tyler Economic Development Council is reporting hundreds of new jobs, and they are just getting started.
At a luncheon Wednesday, the TEDC announced that more than 400 jobs have been created through various projects in the city.
Officials also report more than $200,000,000 in new investments. They say the coming year, they are expecting even more for the city.
"2010 is going to be better," said Tom Mullins, with the TEDC. "We're on several projects that will bring 650 jobs, so we're on the short list. That's very encouraging."
Mullins also said the Tyler economy is well ahead of the national average.
