Being able to walk is something most of us take for granted, until it's gone. But a remarkable piece of medical technology is helping people in East Texas regain their ability to walk. Some patients at Longview's East Texas Prosthetic-Orthotic Care Center, are being fitted with a state of the art prosthetic called the C-leg. It works on hydraulics and includes a micro-processor that actually reads weight and variances in an individual's gait. It's like having an on-board computer, directing the movement of the leg. Patients say it's as close to the real thing, as it can get.
