With the heaviest fighting of the war apparently over, many families on the home front are hoping the troops will be headed back soon. Their faces glued to news of the war, families of East Texans fighting the battles in Iraq are taking Wednesday's success with reserved optimism. The images of the fall of Baghdad have many on the home front thinking its essentially over, but understanding that it is still a hostile area. Though its an uneasy pre-victory feeling now, there's a feeling of pride by military families that their brothers, their sons their daughters, have done what they were called upon to do. And now they wait and watch, all wanting a quick homecoming.
