Released by the Tyler Police Department:
TYLER, TX - At approximately 11:05 Tuesday, officers received a call near the intersection of S Broadway and Loop 323 stating a vehicle had been shot. Upon investigation, the victim reported that he was driving through the parking lot of the VIP Club located at 900 W Bow when two black male suspects, about 18 years old, fired at least one shot at him in the club's parking lot, shattering his right rear door window. The victim stated he fled and the suspects followed him in a blue or green older model Buick LeSabre. He stated that they caught him near TGIF Fridays and again fired at him unknown times.
The suspect struck a previously uninvolved vehicle at this location while evading, and the suspects fled west on the loop at that point. There were no injuries in the vehicle crash.
The victim was not injured, although his vehicle was struck at least three times by gun fire.
