Partners in prevention receives anonymous donation

Released by the City of Longview:

LONGVIEW, TX - The City of Longview's Partners in Prevention has received an anonymous donation through Friends of Partners in Prevention in the amount to $22,500 to be used to support the Circles of East Texas and Mentoring Programs.

Partners in Prevention Manager, Holly Fuller, stated, "This donation is an extremely generous gift.  These funds will enable us to continue serving children through the mentoring program, and families striving to get out of poverty through Circles of East Texas.  In 2009, Partners in Prevention unfortunately had a significant decline in grant funding, which is another reason why private donations such as this are so important."

Mrs. Fuller also stated that additional mentors are needed for children, and allies are needed for Circles of East Texas.  Ten new allies are needed by the end of April for the soon-to-be graduates of the "Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin' by World" class.  If you are interested in becoming a mentor or an ally, please call Partners in Prevention at 903-237-1019 for more information.
