Nurses Vote No on Union

It's back to the drawing board for some Longview nurses after the vote was tallied for a proposed union. After a two day vote, registered nurses at Good Shepherd Medical center voted 322-to-249 against the formation of the states first nurses union.

Both sides lobbied their cases hard as the R-N's came out to vote with the main contention being that the nurses had experienced recurring problems of communication with management.

But the sides disagreed on a union being "the answer."

For those who favored a union, it's a disappointing defeat, and leaves them wondering why the vote went the wat it did.
