MINEOLA, TX (KLTV) - Thousands of East Texans joined the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team in Mineola Thursday eagerly waiting for the Carr family to arrive at their new home.

For many, the day started well before 8am when the first buses began driving East Texans from the Mineola Wal-Mart to the Carr family's neighborhood. Thousands piled in as production and camera crews filmed the crowds cheering "MOVE THAT BUS!" over and over. They even had a couple of practice runs with an empty limo (except for the driver, of course). But by 1:30pm the family finally arrived.

Amidst East Texans' cheers and the welcoming words of Ty Pennington, the bus pulled away revealing the Carr family's new home.

But, don't think the story is over just because the Carrs are home. There is still cleanup to be done in the neighborhood and reactions to capture, which we are doing for you and will continue to do in the coming days. Keep checking our Extreme page for updates as we hear the builders' and family's reactions.

If you captured any pictures or video while helping to "Move that Bus," feel free to upload them to TheLoop@kltv.com!
