PATH, Church Youth Groups Raise Awareness of Hunger Through Food Sculptures

You've seen sand castles and ice sculptures.  At Tyler's Broadway Square Mall, there are some unusual sculptures created for a good cause.

It's art, made with food. Actually, canned goods. It's part of the "Together We Can" exhibition going on at the mall. Church youth groups built their own creation using nothing but canned food, then this morning our Gillian Sheridan coordinated the judging. This is all to help the needy of East Texas.  The event was organized by PATH or People Attempting To Help.

"Together We Can" director Erin Davis says, "Two cans make a difference. Two loaves of bread make a difference. And if we can all come together in one thing, think of the significance of that."

The "Together We Can" display runs through April 6th, and remember, you can always donate food to many agencies in East Texas, including PATH.
