Knife found in dog's nose, juvenile arrested

HENDERSON COUNTY, TX - On February 14, 2010 at approximately 1:00am. Henderson County Deputy David Robertson responded to a cruelty to animals complaint in the 100 block of Shady Shores in Payne Springs, Texas.

Deputy Robertson collected a knife that was removed by the owner of the dog, from the face of the dog. The owner stated the knife was about one and a half to two inches into the nose of the animal. The case was assigned to Deputy John Haverly for follow-up investigations. Deputy Haverly and Investigator Brian Tower conducted the investigation where several adults and minors were interviewed over several days. On February 26, 2010 a juvenile was taken into custody and animal cruelty charges will be filed with the juvenile authorities.
