MINEOLA, TX (KLTV) - After Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's door knock and of course the big reveal, one of the most emotional moments of the next week is the so-called "Braveheart March." It is the moment the family and the builder come together for the first time.

Everything in the Carr family's life, down to this mailbox, is about to be drastically made-over thanks to East Texas volunteers. Volunteers are pumped-up and say they can't wait to lend a helping hand - whatever their individual task may be.

"We're just going to open our arms and wherever they put us then that's where we're going to be," said Kelly Reed.

Reed's whole family has gotten involved, after learning about the incredible family.

"They saw these little girls walking without any legs and just that they're going to be blessed and have a new home," said Reed.

Even the Extreme Makeover crew instantly felt the good hearted nature of East Texans.

"They're coming out in droves to support us and that's just phenomenal," said John Littlefield, an Extreme team member.

Before leaving for Hawaii, the Carr family was able to meet Ty and the crew and thank everyone involved - including the local builders, Bayless Homes.

"I can't believe someone would just donate that much time and effort," said Mike Carr. "He must just have a huge heart."

"Honestly, I'm a little sad because I don't get to stay here and watch our community come together in this way," said Katrina Carr. "I am proud I was raised in East Texas and I am proud to be an East Texan and I want to stay here and be part of it."

It's going to be a huge overhaul during the next few days, but as a team anything is possible. For the Carrs, it is an answer to prayer.

"We thank each of you for everything that you're doing for my family," said Katrina Carr. "We love you, every one of you."
