A Mississippi man who was not charged in a traffic stop in East Texas, has been identified as a murder suspect in his home state. Gregg County deputies stopped a car on Interstate 20 March 20th in which 29-year-old Bernaldo Lofton was questioned for possible drug possession. A large amount of cash was allegedly found in the car as well as marijuana residue, but neither Lofton or any of the 3 passengers in the car were charged. Mississippi State Troopers say Lofton is a suspect in the February 9th shooting death of a Prentiss man. He was free after posting 75-thousand dollars bond in Mississippi.
