TYLER, TX (KLTV) - How's that New Year's resolution to get in shape coming? In this "Does it Work?" we try out an As Seen On TV product that will help you buff up in just minutes. But, does it work?

They are the original rotating pushup handle: Perfect Pushup. They were invented by a U.S. Navy Seal.

I snapped the handles together and we were ready to begin! The basic move is this: Handles at 3 and 9 o'clock when you are pushed up. Then at 7 and 1 o'clock when you're down.

After doing several pushups our first "victim" says he "felt it more in the outside of my arm than a regular push up."

Then we found someone who is an "old pro" at using the Get Ripped system. Rich said that two years ago, he found himself a little out of shape.

"[I] thought about what I used to do when I was good shape and that was when I was in the military doing a lot of pushups and sit-ups," he explained.

So he gave the Perfect Pushup a try and pushes them every chance he gets.

"With the motion and everything it doesn't put as much strain on my shoulders because I've had problems with my shoulder before," he said.

Rich swears by the training program that is included on the card in the box. He does it every other day.

"It does more than just the standard push up because when you're just doing the standard push up it does mostly the tricep and the bicep," he explained. "When you're doing the twist, it's actually more around on the shoulders and stuff."

He spreads them out wide to work a different part of his arm and chest.

"And, then you always finish up with the close ones which are probably the most difficult," he said.

But the Perfect Pushup is right for both male and female.

But, does it work?

From long time user to first time user, many tried and the answer was unanimous. We give the Perfect Pushup a "Yes."
