TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Members of almost all of the churches that have burned in recent weeks have said that a church is more than a building. One man has come a long way to spread that message, and all he wants in return is for you to honk at him.

Kenneth Breaux doesn't attend the First Church of Christ Scientist in Tyler. In fact, he doesn't even live in Texas.

"That doesn't make a difference at all," said Breaux.

Breaux does attend Rafter J's Cowboy Church in Hope, Arkansas. He came here to visit family, but figured while he is here, he can do some good.

"I'm just out here to support people that need the support here in East Texas," said Breaux. "Let 'em know that there's still faith here, and not to let our faith down, no matter what it takes."

His method of evangelism is not too complicated.

"Just a piece of cardboard and a sign, and little bit of prayer can help a lot of people here," said Breaux. "It does. It goes a long ways."

Right now, Breaux is alone. He says that is fine, and that he will stay outside the church until he can not feel his toes. But he is hoping that after other people see him, they will be inspired to make signs of their own, or at least support him as they drive by.

"Maybe this will give the support to let other people do other things for their churches," said Breaux. "That's all I want. Just that moral support, that little bitty honk, just to let everybody know that they're out here, and I'm trying to help as much as I can."

Breaux says he plans to stay here in East Texas for a little while.
