Does it Work?: Smart Mop

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Dozens of attempts have been made to build a better mousetrap, and the same could probably be said for efforts to make a better mop. A new mop claims to be "Smart". But "Does it work?"

The mop claims your hands will never touch water. Did I mention you get three free Smart Cloths in the box? It is basically the same fabric that makes up the mop head, just not cut up into shredded loops.

Snap it together and you are ready!

First, a quick lesson on the twisting, wringing action.

The box claims that it picks up dry spills. But, it wasn't very effective. In the end we decide to just add water. The pick up was remarkably better.

The "wringer" was awkward but effective.

We tried cleaning up coffee with the Smart Mop and were able to fill at least half of the cup back up with the same coffee.

Trying out something a little thicker, we poured some Ranch on the floor. The Smart Mop easily removed it from our memory.

Does it Work? The twisting action does not exactly come naturally. It takes three revolutions of the handle to wring it so you keep having to reload your hand. But it does do the job of a mop.

We give it a "yes."

P.S. My hands stayed dry!
