Lee soccer buds sign division one scholarships

TYLER, TEXAS (KLTV) -  National signing day has become national signing week in East Texas.  Two more young ladies will play there favorite sport at the top college level.  Robert E Lee soccer player players Ashley Jones signed with T.C.U.   Teammate Johna Germany signed with McNeese State.

The two friends have been four year starters for the Raiders and have played soccer together since they were in elementary school.

"It's cool that we're both going," said Germany.  "We're best friends, we've done it since we were little together and now we're both going off to play division one soccer. It's kind of a big deal."

It will be tough to got their separate ways, but it's what they've always dreamed about.

"I'm so excited," said Jones.  "Division one is the biggest you can go, and it says a lot for our athletic program and our soccer team."
