TYLER, TX (KLTV) - An alleged "snack food bandit" is now facing aggravated robbery charges in Tyler.

Tyler Police say Friday night, an armed man entered a convenience store on west Bow Street, took several snack food items, and left without paying.

When the clerk went out to stop him, the suspect, identified as Tyrone Thompson, 19, reportedly raised his shirt to reveal a handgun. Police caught up to Thompson a short time later, and he is now in the Smith County Jail being held on a $50,000 bond.
