GREGG COUNTY (KLTV) - With widespread storms, it was hard to know where the damage would be or how severe. Warnings sounded in Kilgore, Longview and Gilmer.

Residents opened up about the nervous waiting game they had to play before the storms passed. With sirens going off from Longview to Gilmer, people were understandably nervous.

A steady light show had some pulling into parking areas trying to get their vehicles to safety.

Although there was no reported damage in either Upshur or Gregg County the mere mention of hail had a lot of motorists pulling off the roads. We even had marble size hail come down and, for now, Gregg and Upshur counties have been the lucky ones.

A heavy downpour off Highway 31 in Kilgore brought traffic to a crawl as the pings of light hail bouncing off hoods could be heard. Most heeded the warning sirens and stayed off roadways. What came in with a bang, went out with a trickle.

So far, no injures or any damage in Gregg or Upshur County has been reported.
