LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Who says video games are just for kids? Some older East Texans are finding out that some games are fun no matter how old you are.

Senior Circle ladies in Longview have been Wii partying it up.

"I think it's going to be fun for us if we can ever learn to push the right buttons," laughed Susie Daniel.

Forget about playing board games and cards, the seasoned ladies are taking to the slopes...the Wii ski slopes that is.

"Senior Circle is for anyone over 50 in the community," said Melinda Whitehurst, manager of senior circle. "It's for health, wellness, and socialization."

From skiing to hulahooping, the Wii players are getting Wii exercise in a fun way.

"I think that it would be marvelous exercise if you were 20," laughed Daniel.

"Of course, I've had to learn how to use this system in order to teach them, so yeah, hulahoop is a lot of fun and it definitely gets your body moving," said Whitehurst.

The Longview Regional Senior Circle says they plan on holding a Wii Fit party a couple of times a month. They invite anyone over 50 to join. They even have line dancing classes.
