SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - According to Lt. David Craft with the Lindale Police Department, the three vehicles stolen Wednesday morning in a series of "exchanges" in Smith County have been recovered.
Police say that the string of auto burglaries began when a vehicle was stolen in Smith County and driven into Lindale. The thief then left the vehicle in the city and stole a different one, say police. That vehicle was then driven back into Smith County, where police say it has now been recovered.
Police say they do not have any suspects at this time.
East Texas Auto Theft Task Force is on scene processing the vehicles along with the Smith County Sheriff's Department and Lindale Police.
