TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - It is a possible success story for some of Arizona's pronghorn antelope.
Arizona Game and Fish captured dozens near Prescott and then released them east of Safford, near the New Mexico state line Sunday.
They also did a second capture and release in another wildlife area in the northern part of the state.
It could take up to a year to fully re-establish the herd in their new eastern Arizona habitat and another two years for them to blend in with the existing population.
A lot of the success of this project will depend on the seasonal rainfall.
The money for the project came from hunting licenses and tags.
