Carter Blood Care teams up with PATH for the holidays

Released by Carter Blood Care:

TYLER, TX - 'Tis the season for family gatherings, holiday celebrations and hardships on those who are less fortunate. East Texas nonprofit service organizations provide many of the greatest needs this season for those living in poverty and the ill and injured. To help meet the needs of our neighbors, Carter BloodCare and PATH are teaming up with Best Buy to provide some of life's essentials this holiday season. You can help.

Best Buy will be hosting a Carter BloodCare blood drive December 30, noon-5 pm in the Best Buy parking lot, 5514 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler. Each blood donor who donates a bag of canned corn for the PATH food pantry will receive a gift card from Best Buy.

Potential donors must be at least 17-years-old or 16-years-old with a parent's consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good general health. People who present to give blood should eat a nourishing meal before donating and present a photo ID. For more information about donor eligibility or to make an appointment, call Carter BloodCare at 903.535.5400 or visit carterbloodcare.org.
