Released by the Wood County Sheriff's Office:
WOOD COUNTY, TX - In the late hours of December 26, 2009, the Wood County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation involving the odor of obnoxious chemicals on CR 4510 in the Winnsboro area.
The investigation led to the arrest's of Barry Don Henson and Sandra Kay Henson who reside in the Winnsboro area. Deputies recovered items which where used for the manufacture of methamphetamine and confiscated approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine along with marijuana.
While deputies attempted to make contact with parties in the residence, Barry Don Henson set fire to the residence from the inside. Wood County deputies then assisted all parties out of the residence to safety. The Wood County fire marshal, Randy Selman, charged Barry Don Henson with arson and the sheriff's office charged both parties with drug offenses.
