Released by the Longview Police Department:
LONGVIEW, TX - On December 23, 2009, at around 10:37 p.m., Longview Officers were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Colt Street, in reference to a follow up concerning a vehicle burglary. Officers received information that two suspects were attempting to sell off stolen property at the 100 block of Arno Street.
While arriving at Arno Street, officers observed LaQuentlan Jones exiting his residence. Officers placed him under arrest for two outstanding city warrants.
Officer then recognized a parked vehicle which had been reported to be involved in other burglaries and belonged to one of the suspects, DeAundre Mack.
Officers then located Mack inside the residence and placed him under arrest for an outstanding warrant. Before leaving, Mack requested to take his jacket. This same jacket had been reported stolen during a previous burglary. Officers were given consent to search Mack's vehicle and located a GPS unit which also had been reported stolen previously.
Detectives arrived on scene and were given consent by Jones to search his residence. Several noteworthy items pertaining to open cases, and not belonging to the arrested parties, were recovered inside the residence.
