Police investigate infant's death

At 1:36pm on December 25, 2009, Tyler police dispatch received a 911 telephone call from 502 W. Houston #2 in reference to an unresponsive 5 month old baby girl. 

East Texas EMS arrived and transported the child to East Texas Medical Center where the child was pronounced dead.

Investigators and Crime Scene officers were called out to investigate this case. 

Detectives responded to the hospital as well as the residence on Houston St. to see if the cause of death can be determined. 

Investigators did request an autopsy be performed on the child. 

As of this point, the cause of death remains undetermined and any conclusion will have to wait on the autopsy results.
