LONGVIEW (KLTV) - The National Weather Service confirms the tornado that touched down in Longview was an EF-2, this means winds reached a speed somewhere between 111-135mph.
KLTV went along with a team from the NWS as they surveyed the damage. Meteorologist Bill Parker uses 3-D imaging to track the tornado's path, "We have the radar data down loaded on the laptop and we're taking the GPS coordinates and trying to track the tornado."
Despite the widespread damage, no one was injured in Wednesday's storm, "A life saved through the warnings that were issued and through all the partnerships that we have with the media and the first responders; I think that was an A+, said Parker.
The NWS office in Shreveport is tracking several reports of tornadoes throughout the Ark-La-Tex.
