LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - The tradition of Christmas dinner will continue at the Highway 80 Rescue Mission in Longview. Their annual Adults' Christmas Dinner is at noon Thursday at the Rescue Mission cafeteria.
They say the dinner gives those less fortunate a chance to share Christmas together, and that is the main focus of their meal.
"Some people might be in a need that they wouldn't have this meal," said Eric Burger, the Mission's executive director. "There's also some people that they'd just be alone and we just want to be a family for those that might not have a family and just have that opportunity to share about the greatest gift of all."
All are welcome to Thursday's Christmas dinner. And, there will even be presents for those who attend.
