TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Almost a year ago, Josh Hays of Tyler wished for a set of keys to a restored truck. Now, just in time for Christmas, he got his wish.
Josh has a life-threatening disease, and after he wished for the truck, his dad went to work finding one that could be restored.
The Make a Wish Foundation partnered with several Tyler businesses to do the rest.
When the truck was unveiled, Josh couldn't believe it.
"I love it, and you couldn't ask for a better truck or better people to do it for you," said Josh Hays. "This is more than I could ever ask for. I didn't think it'd turn out this good."
Josh's new truck has a new paint job, stereo, wheels, and tires. He is just one of more than 20 East Texas kids who have seen their wishes granted this year.
