Judge Skeen announces bid for re-election

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Smith County Judge Jack Skeen is looking to stay on the bench. Thursday, he filed for re-election in the 2010 Republican primary.

Judge Skeen has served Smith County for more than 25 years, both as a judge and a prosecutor, and says he still wants to be a voice for East Texans on the bench.

"I am committed to the law and I am committed to deciding cases by both the facts and the law," said Judge Skeen.

Judge Skeen also announced he has raised about $60,000 for his campaign. At this time, no candidates have announced to run against him.
