Renee Harrison never thought the shoe business would be her legacy.
"I think God has a plan for everyone and some how or other it just kind of develops because I can't even tell you how I got into it," Harrison said.
But in 1974 it became her destiny.
"We had customers who would say, 'Renee we need a shoe like this can you find it.' And I'd say no but I can probably make it."
And she did. Now she makes dozens of shoes and handbags every year.
"We are very particular about the materials, and I think that is really the secret."
