A bank robber is on the loose after a mid-morning armed robbery in Smith County.
The Citizens State Bank on Highway 64 was hit just before noon on Friday. According to Sheriff's investigators, a lone robber showed a gun and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery.
The FBI and Sheriff's Office are looking for a man between 25 and 30 years old, over six feet tall. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a tan and white sweater, blue cap, and sunglasses.
Investigators have a suspect who was captured on camera in a convenience store next to the bank prior to the robbery. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crimestoppers, at 903-597-2833. There is a reward of $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
